Cron Expression Parser
Explain a cron schedule in plain English and list its next run times.
🔒 Runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.Every 15 minutes, between 09:00 AM and 05:59 PM, Monday through Friday
How to use it
- Type a cron expression with five fields: minute, hour, day of month, month and day of week. Macros like @daily also work.
- Read the schedule in plain English, or the error that says which field is wrong.
- Check the next 10 run times, in your own time zone or in UTC, which is what most servers use.
Questions
What syntax is supported?
Standard crontab: * for every value, lists (1,15), ranges (1-5), steps (*/15 or 5/15), month and weekday names (JAN, MON-FRI), and the macros @hourly, @daily, @weekly, @monthly and @yearly. 0 and 7 both mean Sunday. Quartz-style seconds, ? and L are not supported.
Why does "0 0 13 * 5" run on days that aren’t Friday the 13th?
When both day of month and day of week are restricted, cron runs when either matches: every 13th and every Friday. That is how crontab has always worked, and it surprises almost everyone.
Which time zone does my server use?
Most servers and cloud schedulers, such as GitHub Actions and Vercel Cron, run in UTC. Switch to UTC to see the times they will actually fire.
