How to use it
- Type or paste Markdown on the left. The preview on the right updates as you type.
- Tables, task lists, strikethrough and footnotes (GitHub Flavored Markdown) are supported.
- Your draft is saved in this browser, so it is still here when you come back. "Clear draft" deletes it.
- Images from other websites are blocked until you tick "Load remote images".
- Copy the Markdown or HTML, download a .md file, or click Export PDF and choose "Save as PDF" in the print dialog.
Questions
Where is my draft saved?
In your browser’s local storage on this device only. It is never uploaded. "Clear draft" deletes it, and the Visual Markdown Editor opens the same draft.
Why are my images blocked?
Loading an image from another website tells that website your IP address and that you opened the document. Images stay blocked until you tick "Load remote images", which lasts until you close the tab. Images embedded as data: URLs always show.
Why is my HTML not rendered?
HTML tags inside the Markdown are left out of the preview, so pasted content can never run scripts on the page. Copy HTML gives you the rendered Markdown without them.
How do I export a PDF?
Click Export PDF and pick "Save as PDF" as the printer. Only the document is printed, in black on white, whatever theme the site is in.
